ABOUT US
A not-for-profit community radio station broadcasting live from Bangkok, Thailand At Durian Radio, our slogan "Support your local" embodies our ethos of community organizing and events, including inviting artists from abroad to connect with our local scene. We would be thrilled to have you join us.

Due to the collaboration of our team members, each of whom has traveled, interacted, and accumulated experiences both domestically and internationally, related to various art forms and music, we have gained exposure to diverse cultures and ways of life. These journeys have allowed us to meet a wide range of people with different talents and skills in various fields. These encounters have sparked the idea that if we can share these experiences with the general public, allowing them to directly engage and encounter new experiences, it can ignite fresh perspectives, expand existing frameworks, and challenge conventional norms.

This, in turn, can lead to the emergence of new professions and cultures. To achieve this goal, we intend to establish a radio station. Through our expertise, we plan to create works of art using radio broadcasting or communicate through the medium of music, discussions, deep inquiries, and emotions. We aim to use this platform to foster a cultural transformation, breaking away from traditional perspectives, and breathe new life into existing artifacts. We want to infuse creativity into our workforces, both new and old, fostering collaborative and innovative efforts, moving forward together.

We seek to develop new ideas, drawing from both past experiences and unexplored territories. It is understood that our ideas will not be entirely original or unprecedented, but we choose to make them unique and professional. In Thailand, there are various radio programs that differ significantly in format, leading to diverse learning experiences. We have gathered ideas from different angles, accepting input from various groups of people, including artists and art producers, to create something that represents our vision.

Ultimately, we believe that our openness and adaptability will elevate the differences in a creative manner. Why durian? Durian, the king of fruits, represents Thai fruits distinctly different from those of other nations, symbolizing clear cultural characteristics and traditions.
